Table aux peches is based on the classical theme of still-life. Instead of using the naturalistic or impressionistic approach, Janco preferred the abstract one and turned the fruit and the table to simplified geometrical forms that are hardly recognizable. The Cubistic influence on Janco is evident with the numerous geometrical facets that compose the table and the fruits.
