Pink Carriage is a lively and cheerful print, a naive depiction of young Tel Aviv as seen by Gutman in those days. The oriental women ride a decorated carriage that is led by a local coachman. The vibrant colors of pink and red demonstrate Gutman’s fascination of the rich warm colors of the land of Israel. This is a fine example of Gutman’s joyful and entertaining work.
