This imaginary and colorful print by Gutman shows a giant decorative Fish that is about to swallow few tiny people standing on a dock. The frightened crowd watches this fantastic scene in horror. Gutman portrayed the human figures with delicate black silhouettes. The colorful and detailed print has palm trees at the back, a lighthouse, vibrant skies and sea. Gutman was fascinated by the extraordinary fierce colors of Israel and by its dramatic sunsets, as can be seen in this naive print.
